A little interesting about space life.
Triton and Pluto share roughly the same bulk composition and density, as well as similar atmospheres. In addition, both remote bodies move in unusual orbits. Pluto has a highly eccentric orbit, and is sometimes closer to the Sun than Neptune! Furthermore, Pluto orbits in the opposite direction around our Sun than do the eight major planets of our Solar System. Triton revolves around Neptune in a direction counter to that of its planet--and its retrograde orbit indicates that it is a captured object. Because of the unusual nature of both Triton's and Pluto's orbits, as well as the similarities of their bulk properties and atmospheres, it has long been thought that there is some sort of historical connection between them. Indeed, it was once thought that Pluto was an escaped moon of Neptune, but this is now considered unlikely. It is much more likely that long ago Triton, like Pluto, circled the Sun independently, but was unluckily captured by its adoptive planet--whereas Pluto was left to wander freely.

You see, when the moon looks a certain way, that's called a phase, and certain phases of the moon mean that fish are more active. That means if you spend time on the water fishing, you'll be more successful simply due to the fact that the moon is in a certain phase. I realize how strange this may sound to some of you, but it's nonetheless true. Simply spending your fishing time fishing when the moon is Full or New will have a dramatic result on your catch rates.
NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft was the first to visit Titan back in 1980. Although Voyager 1 made a truly heroic journey, it proved unsuccessful in its efforts to obtain close-up pictures of Titan's veiled surface. This adventurous, early space mission was not able to obtain the desired images because it could not cut through the dense orange smog--and the resulting images showed only some minor brightness and color variations in Titan's atmosphere. In 1994, the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) did succeed in obtaining some precious and revealing images of Titan's well-hidden surface--showing the existence of a bright and sparkling continent dubbed Xanadu--after the "Xanadu" of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's romantic poem Kubla Khan. Titan's Xanadu glitters as if lit by the cold fires of a multitude of sparkling rhinestones.

Earth's Moon completes one orbit around our planet every 27 days, and it rotates (spins) at the same rate. Because Earth is also moving--rotating on its axis as it circles our Star--from our perspective our lunar companion appears to orbit us every 29 days.

Our Earth basks comfortably in the sunny, warmer, inner regions of our Solar System, and our Moon is the largest one of its kind, in this region, relatively close to our Star. Of the four rocky, terrestrial planets--of which our Earth is a member--Mercury and Venus are moonless, and Mars sports two small, misshapen little rocky moons, Phobos and Deimos, that are likely captured refugees from the main asteroid belt that circles our Sun between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
