Interesting facts about space.
o understand the lunar phases you should first observe the changes of the shapes of the moon and when it appears so. The moon's figure is formed through reflection of sunlight from the Sun then shining onto the Earth's surface. The moon phases are a great portion of the study considering the series of movement is what makes the moon a unique object in the universe. In fact during the ancient days, it was the moon that plays the role as a time reference and prediction for best fishing times. Due to the moon and its benefits, people noticed the changes of the moon's figure, conducted researches and concluded many things.
and here is another
Dr. Lieber and his colleagues did a study to test the theory of full-moon "lunacy". They studied data on murders in Dade County of Florida which covered 15 years and a total of 1,887 deaths by homicide. When they compared the deaths with the phases of the moon, they found that the two rose and fell together for the entire 15 years! With the approach of a full or new moon, there was a sharp spike in the murder rate, and then a decline during the first and last quarters of the moon.
Unfortunately, even though mankind has gone to the moon in 1969, this is still not a simple feat in the 21st century. Most of the know how accumulated during the lunar flights have been lost due to the fact that production facilities have been dismantled and many experts who worked on the lunar missions either have retired or died. Right now, it would be impossible to replicate the Saturn 5 rockets that were used to launch the original Moon Mission. Thus, due to this, it has become impossible to fly to the moon again without some sort of a preparation. Hence, many scientists state that going to Mars is a better option as compared to going to the Moon.

The new study is based on data gathered by Cassini's radar instrument during flybys of Titan between 2007 and 2015.
However, the new findings also mean that scientists must come up with other explanations for why Earth's Moon is depleted of potassium, sodium, and other volatile elements. Additional explanations for this exist. One possible alternative explanation is that the volatile elements contained within the disk showered down onto the proto-Earth instead of escaping, or being part of lunar formation. Another explanation is that these volatile elements were part of our Moon when it first accreted from the post-collision disk but were later lost.
Saturn has 62 known moons. Most of them are very small, icy worldlets. On June 11, 2004, shortly before arriving at Saturn, the Cassini spacecraft made its only flyby--at an altitude of 2,000 kilometers--past the very tiny icy moon Phoebe. Phoebe is a heavily cratered worldlet that circles its planet backwards--indicating that it is a captured object, born elsewhere, and not an original member of Saturn's family.
